There have been been conflicting statements made to the press about whether or not Multiverse of Madness might qualify as Marvel’s first horror film or whether it just has a few scary sequences. Certainly the choices of Derrickson and Raimi, respectively, to direct—both of whom are well versed in the tropes of good horror—indicate that the studio wanted to incorporate at least some of the Gothic horror elements of the comics. Comments from cast members seem to confirm this. However, the extensive additional photography and reshoots are rumored to include more humorous elements, plus a few key cameos (one of the most enjoyable aspects of Spider-Man: No Way Home).
What If? introduced us to Strange Supreme, an evil alternate version of Steven Strange who gained enormous power by absorbing other mystical beings, thereby tearing reality apart. The Watcher eventually recruits Strange Supreme to be one of the Guardians of the Multiverse who collectively defeat Ultron.Since Blade is a vampire hunter and Morbius is a vampire, it would make sense to have the two characters appear on screen together. And with the multiverse playing a huge role in future MCU movies, Pascal is right in saying anything is possible. It was a shock to hear Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Electro, Sandman, and Lizard were set to appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home, so having future Sony spinoff movies like Morbius, Kraven the Hunter, and Venom 3 crossover with the MCU seems like a logical next step.
Disney considered several options when the accusations broke regarding Hammer (Call Me by Your Name, The Social Network) including reshooting the movie with a new actor replacing Hammer, according to a source. In 2017, Ridley Scott — one of the producers of Death on the Nile — had reshot All the Money in the World after Kevin Spacey was accused of sexual assault, which he denied. Spacey was replaced by Christopher Plummer.
