La Bolsa de Nueva York se mostraba dispar en la apertura este lunes aunque se mantenía en niveles récord alcanzados la semana pasada.
Hacia las 13H55 GMT el Dow Jones Industrial Average cedía 0.59% a 28,485.09 unidades, el tecnológico Nasdaq ganaba 0.30% a 11,731.09 puntos, y el índice ampliado S&P 500 retrocedía 0.16% a 3,502.28.
La semana pasada Nasdaq y S&P 500 cerraron en niveles récord y el Dow Jones retornó a su cota de inicios de año. Las ganancias fueron de 2.6% para el Dow, 3.4% para el Nasdaq y 3.3% para el S&P 500.
La jornada está marcada por varios cambios importantes en el mercado.
Los grupos ExxonMobil (-1.76%), Pfizer (-0.61%) y Raytheon Technologies (-0.04%) salen del Dow Jones y son reemplazados por Salesforce (-0.25%), Amgen (-0.33%) y Honeywell (-0.86%).
En tanto Apple (+2.66%) dividió el precio de su acción por cuatro lo cual hizo bajar su peso en Dow Jones de 12% a 3%, toda vez que la representación de las empresas en este índice se calcula en función del precio de la acción.
También el fabricante de autos eléctricos Tesla dividió el precio de su acción por cinco (+2.60%).
Estas operaciones hacen más accesibles las acciones a pequeños accionistas sin afectar la capitalización bursátil de las empresas.
